About the Blog
I had always had a dream to walk up and down Magnolia Blvd., window shopping the antique stores, browsing the vintage boutiques, and inhaling the deep aromas of Italian eateries and sweet shops.
In 2010, with my son in a stroller, and my mother by my side, I did just that. It took us a grand total of four hours to complete our mission, but although I had fulfilled my dream, me needs remained unsettled. With a cranky toddler and a chunky stroller, there was so much I had missed on the magical Magnolia Blvd., and traversing those four hours had only left me hungry for more.
After graduating with my B.A. in English, Creative Writing, I rummaged through some ideas in my head that left me back at ground zero. Then one day, it hit me. I immediately started brainstorming and talking about it to people. Whether it was the name, Steal Magnolia Blvd., or the fact that I wanted to write about a street, I seemed to only get laughs and giggles at my idea. It took one friend to say go for it, and I was off from there.
My blog has been made to be used as a resource guide to Magnolia Blvd. I do not review or critique anyone, but simply offer my readers a chance at finding an amazing latte, or that perfect piece of art for their living room. Magnolia never ceases to amaze me, even with being down there on almost a daily basis. Every store is unique in and of itself, and there is always something new to see, a sale to be bought, or an event to enjoy.
As Howard Schultz would say...
